GASICS Part 6

I did it anyway. The chance of losing the opportunity to win the bigger game of Advanced was ultimately more scary than any short term pain caused by having to shift up. As this was an exceptional case, my physics teacher pushed me to attend all my classes in the new batch immediately, until he sorted out my switch officially with the administration.

My heartbeat regularly pushed 140 bpm for the first few days I sat in that class. Add massive imposter syndrome to knowing that youre there illegally, my anxiety levels were at an all time high.

On the first day, as the my new math teacher entered, he asked who I was. How do you explain that youre here with permission, but also not, without drawing attention to yourself? Thankfully he didnt pursue the matter, and accepted the hurried explanation I gave him.

Within two days, I got official confirmation for the shift, and things started evening out. My mom's training of asking a lot of questions, though not meant for this situation, atleast helped me to get to know the new teachers better.

You just can't ignore the kid thats asking questions all the time.

Sure, I felt like the biggest moron in the world in that class, asking all those questions, but hey, atleast I was learning.

Things were discussed at a higher level compared to the previous batch, so I knew I was in the right place. I made a few tentative friends, started getting comfortable with the teachers.

It didnt end up mattering too much in the end, I lasted for a total of 3 weeks in that batch.
